Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, released the following statement regarding a report of a Bush Administration proposal that would make substantial changes to regulations implementing the Endangered Species Act.

Senator Boxer said, “I will vigorously oppose any weakening of the Endangered Species Act, which has saved the American bald eagle, and which is now playing a role in saving the polar bear.”
