Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), announced the hiring of Teri Donaldson for the position of general counsel for the committee. 

Donaldson is returning to public service after 14 years of environmental law experience as a law firm partner, most recently at DLA Piper LLC (US) in Houston, Texas. Donaldson has substantial expertise with environmental issues impacting the energy sector, water and power utilities, transportation, manufacturing, real estate development, and agriculture.    

Prior to joining the private sector, Donaldson served for nearly 16 years in federal and state government. Donaldson served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Middle District of Florida, and general counsel of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
