U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), top Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, today made the following statement following a meeting with Bob Perciasepe, Acting Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency:

"My meeting with EPA this afternoon was productive. We discussed Republicans' 5 key transparency requests (again). They'll be getting back to us on those late tomorrow, and that will determine Republican EPW members' approach to Thursday's scheduled mark-up," Vitter said.

Last week, EPW Committee Republicans did not attend the nomination vote of Gina McCarthy to head the EPA due to a lack of answers to their five key transparency requests, which led to a postponement of the vote. Click here to read more.
