Inhofe Welcomes Dave Banks to EPW Committee

Washington, D.C. - Sen. James Inhofe (R. Okla.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today announced that George David Banks will join the Inhofe EPW Committee staff as Deputy Staff Director.  Dave will replace Mike Catanzaro, who recently accepted a position in the office of Speaker John Boehner.

Senator Inhofe: "I am pleased to welcome Dave Banks to my EPW Committee staff. Dave comes to EPW with a wealth of experience and expertise on energy and environment issues.  In his work as an advisor at the Bush White House and as a US diplomat, he has helped bring an end to the job-killing Kyoto process. Dave was constrained in his previous positions because of his professional obligations to the Bush administration during their moments of weakness. Yet Dave has personally opposed any type of congressional or regulatory cap-and-trade. He is now unleashed to join me in stopping the Obama administration from imposing all of their anti-business regulations."

Dave Banks: "I am honored to join Senator Inhofe's staff.  He has been a champion in defending the American economy against EPA overreach and environmental activism and I will now be freed to join the fight to end the insanity perpetrated by the Obama administration."
