"It is absolutely unacceptable for an EPA employee to abuse his power and threaten private businesses with seizure and destruction of property, especially when his actions affect goods with potential military applications," said Vitter. "Beyond the economic damage incurred by American businesses, this kind of bullying behavior directly contradicts EPA policy, and the Agency is responsible for ensuring their employees and contractors are accountable to their own rules."

In today's letter, Vitter requests a full accounting of the accused EPA contractor's work history with the Agency, as well as clarification regarding conflicting reports from EPA and independent military contractors about his controversial methods during the process of EPA authorization for importation.
