Washington, D.C. -- Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Ranking Member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, released the following statement on the final version of the Obama administration’s Clean Power Plan.  The final rule shifts the timelines for states to reduce carbon emissions from power plants, while also offering incentives for states to act early. The plan keeps the United States on target for reductions necessary to meet international commitments.

Senator Boxer said:  “The Clean Power Plan will create thousands of jobs, while also ensuring that big polluters reduce their dangerous contributions to climate change.”
