Weekly Preview
MARCH 12-16, 2007
Next week (March 12-16, 2007) the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will hold one subcommittee hearing.
On Thursday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m. EST, the Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure will conduct a hearing entitled, “Water Resources Needs and the President’s Budget Proposal for the Army Corps of Engineers for Fiscal Year 2008.” The purpose of the hearing is to receive testimony concerning the President’s budget request for fiscal year 2008, and proposals to address America’s water resources needs through a Water Resources Development Act (WRDA). The hearing will take place in the EPW Hearing Room, SD-406 in the Dirksen Senate Office Building. A complete witness list will be available early next week.
If you can’t be there in person, we’ll have a live webcast through the Committee website, https://www.epw.senate.gov. As always, feel free to contact me if you have questions or require more information.
Visit the EPW website -- https://www.epw.senate.gov -- for witnesses’ testimony, along with audio and video archives and Senators’ opening statements from past hearings – this week’s hearing on the EPA Budget with Administrator Stephen Johnson is HERE and you can go directly to the video archive by clicking HERE.
