Weekly Preview

MARCH 5-9, 2007

Next week (March 5-9, 2007) the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will hold one full-committee hearing.

  • On Wednesday, March 7, at 3:00 p.m. EST the full Committee on Environment and Public Works will conduct a hearing on the President’s Proposed EPA Budget for FY 2008.  The sole witness will be EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson.  (Please note the change in time – some previous reports had this taking place in the morning.)  The hearing will take place in the EPW Hearing Room, SD-406 in the Dirksen Senate Office Building.  If you can’t be there in person, we’ll have a live video webcast through the Committee website, https://www.epw.senate.gov.  As always, feel free to contact me if you have questions or require more information.

Visit the EPW website – https://www.epw.senate.gov -- for witnesses’ testimony, along with audio and video archives and Senators’ opening statements from the Committee’s past hearings, including Monday’s field hearing on hurricane recovery in New Orleans and yesterday’s full committee hearing on state and local perspectives on global warming.
