Washington, D.C. – Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, released the statement on the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision affirming the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) authority to set carbon pollution standards for major industrial sources, including power plants.

Senator Boxer said: “The Supreme Court again affirmed the President’s authority to control dangerous carbon pollution under the Clean Air Act, including from the dirtiest sources – power plants. I strongly support the President moving forward with his Climate Action Plan for the health and well-being of our families and future generations.”
