406 Dirksen Senate Office Building
WASHINGTON – The Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee will hold a hearing on Sept. 16 at 10:00 AM ET in SD 406 to conduct oversight of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) following the Gold King mine disaster. The hearing is at the request of Sens. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Tom Udall (D-N.M.), and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.). The hearing will also examine EPA’s response and the subsequent impact on the environment and economies of local states, communities, and Indian tribes.
