Inhofe Statement on the

Passing of Fish and Wildlife Director Sam Hamilton

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today released the following statement on the death of Sam Hamilton, the Director of the Fish and Wildlife Service, who passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010:

"We are all deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of Sam Hamilton. A long-time public servant for over 30 years, Sam had the utmost respect in Washington and throughout the conservation community.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and his colleagues."
