America is far too dependent upon foreign sources of oil and that is a national security issue. Unless action is taken, this dependency will only increase. I believe it is possible to explore oil sources in Alaska and produce energy in an environmentally friendly way. Oklahoma plays a key role in giving America its energy independence: our marginal natural gas wells and ethanol producers are critical not only to Oklahoma's economy but also to America's energy needs.
