We can all agree that we want to breath clean air. Since the passage of the Clean Air Act, we have made many improvements in air quality. As chairman, I want to build on the environmental successes of the past. President Bush has proposed Clear Skies, the most aggressive Presidential initiative to reduce power plant emissions of SOX, NOX and Mercury. As a father and grandfather, I want to use sound science in policy making so that future generations will benefit from a better environment.
